Dear West Running Brook Families:
We Did It — Year One at WRB is a Wrap!
Today marked the end of our very first year at West Running Brook Intermediate School! Over the past two days, we celebrated our amazing sixth graders as they prepare to head off to Gilbert H. Hood Middle School. Our celebration at Don Ball Park was a huge success—full of sunshine, laughter, and great memories. A heartfelt thank you to our incredible staff and volunteers who helped make the day so special!
Today’s clapout was another highlight, giving all of our students a chance to celebrate the growth, friendships, and accomplishments of this remarkable year.
There are simply too many people to thank in one message, but please know how deeply we appreciate the support, patience, and encouragement we’ve received from the entire WRB community as we launched this new school model. A very special shout-out goes to our amazing PTSA—your flexibility, dedication, and year-round support have made a real difference. We’re especially grateful to the board: Kristyn Anderson, Kassia Tessier, Brooke Yonge, Kimberly Young, and Carrie Sawyer. WRB wouldn’t be the same without our PTSA!
Congratulations to Mrs. Marraffa, Nurse Walker, Mrs. DeJulio, and Mrs. Strobel on their Retirement! We celebrate the incredible careers of these four outstanding staff. Your dedication, care, and countless contributions have shaped the lives of so many students and families. Wishing you joy, relaxation, and all the best in your retirement!

Important Message from the Nurse
If your child is moving onto 7th grade, please make sure to get an updated copy of their immunization records with a Tetanus booster (Tdap) to the Nurse’s office ASAP.
