Hello Gilbert H. Hood Families,

 

As we head into our last two weeks of school, we would like to lift up our staff for the amazing work they do every day! Their dedication and commitment to the students and the school community as a whole is remarkable.  Thank you.

 

 

Here are a couple items to share for the upcoming weeks:

 

 

Open House of Incoming 7th Graders - June 4

 

GHH is hosting an Open House on Wednesday, June 4, 6:00-7:00 pm.  This event is open to current Grade 6 WRB students and their families.  We look forward to welcoming new students and their families to GHH, as well as giving them the opportunity to tour our school.

For families of eighth grade students, please refer to the flyer linked above.  This flyer outlines events planned to celebrate the end of the school year as our eighth graders prepare to move on to high school, including details about the Promotion Ceremony on June 11 at 4:00 pm.

 

  • How you can help with the Grade 8 Celebrations and Events:  Thank you to all the families who have filled out the signup genius.  We are still in need of Grade 7 parents to volunteer to chaperone the Promotion Dance.  Thank you!

Pinkerton CTE Summer Camp

 

Career and Technical Education at Pinkerton is running several summer camps the week of June 23-26.  The program is open to students in grades 7-10 who are interested in participating in fun, hands on camps. Additional information can be found here:  link

  • June 2-6: Grade 8 Spirit Week

  • June 3: Team 7-4 Field Trip

  • June 4: GHH Open House for current sixth graders, 6:00-7:00

  • June 5: Team 7-3 Field Trip

  • June 9: Grade 8 Canobie Lake trip (rain date June 10)

  • June 9: Spring Sport Awards Nigh, 6:00-7:30

  • June 10: House A Field Day (Teams 7-1 & 7-2)

  • June 10: Grade 8 Hollywood Red Carpet Promotion Dance, 6-7:30

  • June 11: House B Field Day (Teams 7-3 & 7-4)

  • June 11: Grade 8 Ice Cream Buffet during lunches

  • June 11: Grade 8 Promotion Ceremony at Pinkerton Academy, 4:00 pm

  • June 12: Last day of school for seventh graders
