Dear Students, Families, and Staff of Gilbert H. Hood Middle School,

We are thrilled to welcome you to an exciting new school year at Gilbert H. Hood Middle School! Our school is a place where every student is valued, and kindness and respect guide everything we do.

Together, we create a supportive and collaborative environment where everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.  When we work as a team–students, teachers, and families–we can accomplish great things and make our school a place we are all proud of.

Along with Assistant Principals Jolene McWhirter and Melanie Curren, we are excited about the school year ahead. We encourage you to bring your best self every day, to be kind to each other, and to take part in all the opportunities our school offers.  Let’s make this year one full of achievement, community, and positivity.
